Polo Norte is a play about the existence of a ‘Paradise’ hidden beneath the snow at the North Pole.
The play has moments where the real actors go out of stage, seemingly appearing in huge cinematic projected screen, where they interact digitally with the environment.
I was asked to supervise the live action shooting as well as producing a 1min continuous 3d simulated stream of oil erupting from the ground, interacting with the actor, props and all the snow.
The background and overall compositing and overlayed snow particels all done by my good friend Director / Editor Micael Espinha who made all the digital videos – check out his work! – micaelespinha.com
